Making Money The Fun Way

As we countdown to Christmas, we may feel as if we need to look into saving up more money for the kids and our family. Working at a full time job and juggling childcare can be difficult, and often we are left working at a job we hate for pennies. But what if you could earn money in a way you actually like?

Your Current Job

If you don’t want to be looking for a new job and disturbing the natural order of things, then you may want to look into ways that you can make your current job more bearable. By changing some the circumstances in your current job such as the hours you work, what shift pattern you have and which department you focus on; it can make you life much more fun in the long run and revive that zest for life.

The key to making your current job feel more fun than it really is, is to make sure you are saving up a buffer in your account which gives you that extra comfort that if you did want to leave, you could. The most common part of a job which most people hate is feeling trapped.

You may also be able to talk to your boss and voice your concerns about the job, they will be able to give you new responsibilities and maybe even put you onto a training course such as to make the most out of your skills. Try to look on the bright side with your job and take the time to make friends with your co-workers- that will always make the day go better.

Prepare For Something New

The main thing you want to be doing if you hate the job you are currently in is to prepare for a change to something else. This could involve taking a class in the evenings once you’ve picked the kids up from school, or even just saving up that extra cash to allow you to quit and find something better.

When you are working towards getting a job you love, your life will feel as if it has much more purpose and the days will flow by.

In Your Own Life

There are plenty of fun ways to make a bit of extra cash for your family. One of those could be setting up an Etsy shop. If you have a creative flair and a talent for making artistic prints, or jewellery, you could set up a shop on Etsy and spend some of your evenings at home with the kids making your crafts to sell. You’ll enjoy it because it is something you are good at, and you’ll get those extra pennies.

Another option is to play games online such as or the lottery. It won’t take much time out of your day and you could win a huge amount of money for your family.

If you have a knack for cooking or baking, you could offer your services in catering and baking in the local area. If you only know how to make one type of treat such as pies- then take advantage of local markets or boot sales and sell your creations through there. You’ll be able to spend your weekends baking and then get some money for it at the end of the day too.
