Dragon Quest Builders Makes an Excellent Gift This Year!

I love a good RPG with the ability to free play. If I want to take a pit stop before continuing my story, to do something like take a bath, I love the opportunity to. Run around and building things also adds a fun element to it. Dragon Quest Builders has given me a lot of things I love to do in this really cute game. What I love even more? My daughter can even play it, because it is for everyone 10 and over. She saw me playing it, and decided that I was going to let her try it out. Basically what happened was I could not play it again till she went to bed, the joys of being an adult, I get to stay up late!

We are playing in the realm of Alefgard, and generations ago it was plunged into darkness by the awful Dragonlord. All of mankind was robbed the ability to build, so they all had to become scavengers. The Goddess herself, chooses you, a Legendary Builder, to rebuild Alefgard! You are also tasked with bringing back the power of creation to the people. As you build you bring hope back to the people and with that you are able to overthrow the Dragonlord.

So you can wonder around, kill some bad guys and go build some fun stuff. We watched the launch trailer and my daughter laughed so hard by the emotes that were build into the mountain. So of course she had to give it a go as well. You can wander around and do everything you like! Build what you want, do what you want and enjoy the story line if you want. I love the open world abilities and how you can choose to do anything. I love a great RPG and Dragon Quest Builders gives me that, but my daughter just loves to explore and build.

We have had so much fun playing Dragon Quest Builders and it makes an excellent stocking stuffer or gift to wrap and put under the tree. It gives hours of entertainment to our entire family and we are still exploring and building! We plan to play over the entire holiday and take turns. By take turns I mean that I will be playing at night and watching my daughter during the day. Sharing is caring!

Disclosure: Square Enix provided me with a free copy of Dragon Quest Builders that I am featuring in this post. All thought are my own.
